How's Your Fruit?
How's your fruit? Can someone eat from your tree? The bible says that the tree is known by the fruit that it bears (Matthew 12:33). The Scripture also tells us that "the fruit of the righteous is the tree of life (Proverbs 11:30). So what does this mean?
We know that God expects righteous living and that our tree be fruitful for others to feed on. As born-again, Christian believers, we walk in the newness of the Spirit of Christ. In Galatians 5:22-23, we learn that this new nature is classified as the fruit of the spirit and has nine different characteristics.
One fruit - THE fruit - with different attributes.
Galatians 5:22-23 Reads:
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance; against such there is no law."
